Justine et les machines: To escape her solitude in isolation and a post-leukemia writer’s block, Justine uses a typewriter to compose letters to forgotten 19th century French composer Augusta Holmès, known in her time as the "Wagner of France". To Justine's astonishment, Augusta responds, triggering a series of
surreal interactions between the living and the imagined.

What does love and radical acceptance look like when caring for a loved one with dementia? Vanishing Point is the first opera by Iranian-Canadian composer Parisa Sabet and Montreal-based filmmaker Nika Khanjani, which explores the experience of a woman as she cares for her mother, Aida. As Aida's illness eclipses the present moment and evokes a past with startling clarity, details slowly emerge from an earlier life — a first marriage, a child lost, a country left behind. This intergenerational drama explores the delicate ways that we can remain fully present with someone we love as we watch them slip away.
